Art has always been a huge part of my life. From sitting at the kitchen table drawing to my days in high school where some of my work was displayed at Brock University, representing my school in a show for all of NDSB. During my time in the army I wish I had saved some of the things I did. Sketching was a great way to kill time during a midnight radio shift, or was also an excellent way to release the stress of what we had seen and experienced while overseas doing UN Peacekeeping in Rwanda. I wish the internet was a thing back then since I could have easily uploaded stuff I had done that have now been lost to time. Over the years life got in the way and my sketching became less and less. I did start painting which resulted in a renewed interest in doing art. I had my own art show at a small gallery and even sold some works but yet again, things started getting in the way and I stopped doing them. Then in 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer and found myself doing several long term stays in the hospital. During this time my brother brought me a sketch pad and pencils and convinced me to start drawing again. It came back to me quickly and some of the best things I have ever done came out of this period. I’m still here drawing and hope to be doing it for a long time to come. Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy what you see!
